The Postpartum Doula is a postpartum recovery specialist, primarily focused on supporting the postpartum client as they heal physically and emotionally, and learn to care for themselves and their baby, and adjust to their new life. The Postpartum Doula walks alongside them as they bond, attune to their baby’s needs, build their confidence, and supporting them as baby forms secure attachments.

Postpartum doulas are there to gently guide families as they adjust to the big changes that come with welcoming a new baby. They offer steady, compassionate support - answering questions, providing reassurance, cooking, basic newborn care and helping you gain confidence as you discover the parenting style that feels right for you.

Haushaltshilfe is insurance covered postpartum doula care. In Germany some insurances offer this kind of support after birth. Our doulas are able to work together with the health insurances.

Overnight doulas provide newborn care during the night so that the parents can sleep. Since broken sleep is a normal part of caring for an infant, a night doula’s role is to attend the baby’s needs throughout the night even if bottle or breastfed.
