Overnight Doula

What to Expect

An overnight maternity doula supports families during the night so parents can rest, recover, and regain strength in the early weeks and months after birth.

Sleep in the first year after birth is not simply interrupted - it is layered and deeply tied to your body’s recovery. Whether you are feeding at the breast, chest or with a bottle, the rhythm of the night often repeats itself every two to three hours - waking, feeding, changing, settling. Over time, this lack of deep, restorative sleep can begin to touch everything: your mood, your healing, your milk supply, your mental and emotional wellbeing.

Having the right support at night can soften this experience, allowing your body to recover, your mind to settle and your days to feel more manageable.

What overnight support looks like

Our overnight care typically takes place between 10:00pm and 7:00am, with flexibility to meet your family’s needs. During this time, we care for your baby so you can rest more deeply and for longer stretches.

If you are breastfeeding, we gently bring your baby to you for feeds and then take over settling, changing, and soothing so you can return to sleep with ease. If you are bottle feeding, we manage the full feeding cycle - allowing you a full nights uninterrupted sleep.

How we care through the night

Overnight support is not only about tending to your baby it is about caring for you, quietly and thoughtfully

And just as importantly, we:

  • Create a sense of calm and steadiness in your home

  • Offer reassurance in the quiet hours when things can feel most intense

  • Anticipate your needs - whether that’s water by your bedside, a small adjustment to make the night smoother, or simply a few extra moments of rest

  • Hold the night in a way that allows you to fully let go and sleep

How It Works

Find your care!

  • ‘I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience of having help during the evenings. This was extremely transformational to have the support of women who had supported to many other women prior. As a breastfeeding mother I was still able to nurture my child, but also get much needed sleep every evening. It helped me and my husband transition into the amazing new role as parents. Truly recommend and will be making the same investment in our sleep and recovery when we welcome another child into our lives.’ - Adele and baby Blair
